Foster Care
We partner with Children's Network of Southwest Florida, Safe Children® Coalition and the Department of Children and Families to provide Supportive Foster Care and Specialized Therapeutic Foster Care to youth of all ages. We provide services in the the Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Hendry, Glades, Sarasota, Manatee, and Desoto counties.
We recruit, train and license foster and pre-adoptive homes in the Cape Coral and Sarasota area.
Each youth receives weekly clinical support provided by master's level and/or licensed clinicians. We utilize a strength-based, holistic, and multi-disciplinary approach that is grounded in evidenced based practices.

Carmi Brown
Associate Executive Director of Florida
Carmi Brown brings more than 25 years of experience in human services, behavioral health, nonprofit leadership, and program development, with a career spanning both public and private sectors in clinical and executive leadership roles. Throughout her career, she has been committed to strengthening programs, developing high-performing teams, and improving outcomes for children, families, and communities.
Carmi’s extensive leadership experience includes strategic planning, program development and implementation, organizational growth, performance and quality management, data-driven decision-making, community engagement, and continuous quality improvement. She has led teams and initiatives at both the local and national levels, developing systems and strategies that strengthen service delivery and support sustainable organizational growth.
In addition to her executive leadership experience, Carmi brings a strong clinical background and extensive experience providing behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. This combination of clinical expertise and organizational leadership allows her to approach her work with both a people-centered and systems-focused perspective. Carmi holds a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida.
Heath Sanderson
Licensing & Training Manager
Heath is originally from New Zealand. He holds a Bachelor degree in Psychology from The University of Waikato (NZ). He is Certified in both Child Welfare Case Management and Child Welfare Licensing in the State of Florida. He has over 10 years’ experience in the social work field, working in both the mental health and child welfare fields. He resides in the Estero area with his wife and two daughters. Heath is passionate about social work and assisting children within the Foster Care system. He enjoys spending time with his family, days at the beach, and socializing with friends.
